About Our Classes

Why take our classes to prepare for your postpartum?

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

When people hear the word "postpartum," they often associate it with negative outcomes - postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, and postpartum pelvic issues such as incontinence, prolapse, or painful sex.

It doesn't have to be this way.

Postpartum disorders are common but they are not inherent to the postpartum experience. Rather, they reflect the lack of proper care and support that most mothers receive during this time. With proper support, your body can fully heal, you can have more energy to bond with your new baby, and you can emerge from this time empowered (rather than depleted).

I can teach you how.

Planning for the Fourth Trimester is a series of 5 classes to help prepare you for your postpartum experience and set you up for health and wellbeing. The information is based on cross-cultural staples of postpartum practices from a traditional-midwifery model of care.

* Four classes are held prenatally, to help you understand the five essentials of postpartum healing, develop a postpartum plan, and build community

*A closing ceremony/class is held when everyone in class is at least 6 weeks postpartum

In the Ayurvedic tradition, it is said that the first 42 days postpartum influence your health for the next 42 years. It is THAT important! You deserve more than to merely survive; you and your family deserve to THRIVE!

I had my baby at the start of Covid. It was a time filled with uncertainty and fear. We did not have any help and I wasn’t able to focus on my recovery post partum. This was when I got introduced to Stephanie. I was grateful for her kind and attentive support. She listened to my concerns and tailored her recommendations with genuine care making my postpartum journey more manageable and empowering. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for compassionate personalized care.
